Parenting training programs for parents of 2-8 years old children for expat families in The Netherlands
(Training in English | Mandarin Chinese)
The Incredible Years® evidence based parenting programs focus on strengthening parenting competencies to promote children’s academic, social and emotional skills and reduce conduct problems. The programs has been used in main stream Dutch healthcare. It shown to work across cultures and socioeconomic groups.
We, Zhi Li and Jinfeng Shen, are offering the training program for parents of children aged 2-8 years. The training is giving in a group up to 16 parents/children.
The full program takes 12 weekly session, each session takes 2.5 hours. The theme covers playing, academic coaching, praise and rewarding, limit setting and coping with undesirable behavior. During the sessions, parents discussed and experience problems solving in a supportive environment.
We use handouts, video clips, brainstorming, group discussion, role play, voice over, home exercise, weekly calls to support successful learning.
To adapt the interest and busy schedule of some parents, we are also offering short-term, one time workshop for parents in various themes.
